PD outing :)

On Labour Day, my friends and I took the day off for a little trip! We went to a lighthouse near Port Dickson. Think the place is called Tanjung Tuan!

So, we drove about 40 minutes to Tanjung Tuan. Upon arrival, we were surprised that we have to hike 1 km uphill to reach the lighthouse! :S We thought it’s at the beach!

So…there we go! Hike..and climb up in slippers! And shorts! Haiyo….

So..when we finally reached and saw the lighthouse, we were overjoyed!

But the joy was only temporary. Till we saw 2 cars driving up! Argh! If cars were allowed, we would have drove up! Argh!

  

But well, at least we burnt our calories by walking up! Hehe… But when we reach the gate of the lighthouse, we nearly burst! The gate was locked and we saw this beautiful signboard:

Alamak!!! Is there still a Shahbandar in Malacca? Haha…or is the last Shahbandar dead? :S

Then we walked around the lighthouse, since we can’t go in. And it’s beautiful! It overlooks the Selat Melaka/Straits of Malacca! And apparently, we can see Sumatra from there! Haha…I didn’t see it though! Haha…Such a strategic place to look out for enemies/intruders! Hehe…no wonder the Portugese/Dutch/British all fought for the place last time! Hehe…

 

Then we decided to walk in some more and see where we’ll end up…oh man…We end up having to walk up and down in the forest and we reach the lowland at the end. It was like a mini beach there. But sad to say it was pretty poluted And after that, we had to walk all the way up the same way to go back! Boy..it was tiring! The steps were really steep k? But we made it!

On our way down, we saw a group of people doing some activities. For one moment, we thought they were either from the army, National Service or some cadets from a school. But they look a little too mature for that and they really did look smart! Then when we asked the trainers who they are, to our shock and horror…those were all doctors! Haha…they are all Houseman that are serving their compulsary 2 week camp! They had a good laugh at us because upon graduation, we’ll have to go through what they are going through! Hahaha….

 

After that, we decided to go to Teluk Kemang where the famous Port Dickson beach is. We didn’t really wanna go to the beach because it was so crowded! We just had coconut drink! Yummy! Refreshing! Hehe…then after that, we stopped by a fruit stall to get some local fruits. I love local fruits!

Then it was time to go home. We were so tired but it was fun! Hehe…Well…at least we exercised! Haha… But really, it was fun!
